Tracey Metallic is a Mi’gmaq artist born and raised on the shores of the Restigouche River. Her career in painting began as a therapeutic outlet, initially creating cartoon characters for her grandchildren.

Her artwork reflects her personal healing journey, and she believes that everyone is on their own path of growth and understanding. She resides in her home community of Listuguj and holds degrees in Arts and Social Work.
